YEP COMPONENTS Limited Warranty

Terms and Conditions.

1. LIMITED TWO (2) YEAR WARRANTY ON YEP COMPONENTS SEATPOSTS AND SEATPOST PARTS.

YEP COMPONENTS warrants to the original owner of a YEP COMPONENTS product, being an adjustable seatpost or a part of an adjustable seatpost, that the product, when new, is free from material and workmanship defects. The duration of the warranty is counted starting from the date stated on a sales document provided at the time of purchase by either YEP COMPONENTS or by any authorised reseller. After the two years period this limited warranty expires.

2. TERMS OF WARRANTY.

2.1. YEP COMPONENTS limited warranty is only applicable to YEP COMPONENTS products purchased new at YEP COMPONENTS or from an authorised reseller.
2.2 YEP COMPONENTS limited warranty applies only if the product has been used as intended and in normal conditions as well as it has been properly maintained.
It is required that after 1 year (counting from the date of purchase) a full service is performed by an authorised service centre.
2.3 YEP COMPONENTS limited warranty is made only to the original product owner and is not transferable to other persons.
2.4 NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ARE:

– normal tear and wear; cosmetic surface wear, bushing and seal wear
– scratches on stanchions and any damage that can be a result of stanchion scratches. This would be for example: damaged seals or internals worn/damaged due to the dirt that was introduced into the inside of the post through such scratch/scratches.
– products used not as intended or used in extremely abnormal conditions
– products that have been damaged in a crash or in an accident
– products that have been damaged by improper or badly performed service procedures or by improper assembly
– parts that have not been properly maintained as per product instructions included in the box (suggested seatpost clean + grease every 30hrs of riding and keeping the seatposts clean before every ride).
– products that have been modified or altered in any way
– a seatpost that has been overtightened when mounted on a bike and its tubes have been ovalized, have shown cracks, or have been damaged in any other way
– any repairs of seatposts or parts of the seatposts that have been used over
one year without performing a full service at a certified service centre. YEP
COMPONENTS warranties seatposts for the period of 2 years, but such service
is required after one year from the date of purchase for the warranty to remain valid in the following year
– any repairs on seatposts after two years from the date of purchase
– dropper posts will require occasional bleeding (such as brakes require a bleed from time to time) this is normal and is not recognized as a system failure, therefore it is not a subject to a warranty claim

3. MAKING A CLAIM

3.1. IF PURCHASED AT YEP COMPONENTS WEBSITE OR AT AN EVENT FROM THE YEP COMPONENTS BOOTH, please contact YEP COMPONENTS directly with your claim.

3.2. IF PURCHASED AT ANY OTHER PLACE THAN YEP COMPONENTS
WEBSITE OR BOOTH, please make the claim at the place the product has been purchased from. Should this not be possible (i.e. the shop does not exist anymore or the shop has not responded to the claim), please contact YEP COMPONENTS company for assistance.

When making a claim please provide:
– sales receipt or invoice
– product name, serial number (if present)
– description of the problem
– photos, videos explaining the problem

4. ISSUES NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT

Any issues that may arise during the claim process that are not mentioned in this above statement should be discussed with YEP COMPONENTS first to find a solution.

5. CONSUMERS RIGHTS ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY
